Particleboard shipments increased nearly 5.4% to 286 million ft2 from 272 million ft2 in January 2017. MDF shipments rose 5.1% to 201 million ft2, compared to 192 million ft2 the same month one year ago.
North American January panel shipments ahead of 2017
North American shipments of particleboard and MDF started the year up 5.3% to 488 million ft2 (3/4in basis) compared to 463 million ft2 in January 2017, according to the Composite Panel Association’s monthly Industry Snapshot Report.
