At a total of 14 locations, the Schattdecor Group processed more than 2 billion m2 of paper in the previous year, thus affirming its position as the world market leader.
The printing segment led the way, followed by painting and waterproofing with a total of more than 500 million m2 of paper processed.
Across the entire group, the surface specialist employs more than 2,100 people in nine countries and operates 34 printing presses, 16 painting and waterproofing units, and 12 laboratory machines worldwide.
Investment projects in the previous fiscal year consisted of the completion of a new plant in Tyumen, Russia, expansion of the finishing foil capacities in Glucholazy, Poland, and the expansion of the waterproofing capacities in São José dos Pinhais, Brazil.
For 2016, investment projects totalling €44m are planned.
With its focus on the décor industry, Schattdecor is planning to get digital printing to the fore with the Palis 2250 single-pass ink-jet printing press, which is currently being installed in the main plant in Thansau.
