Fill Machine Engineering supplied Roseburg with two fully-automated speedfiller wood spot repair systems for plywood boards. The company based in Dillard, Oregon, has more than 3,000 employees in North America.

Each of the supplied Fill speedfiller visco plywood systems repairs around 500 board surfaces (each measuring 2.5 x 1.3m) with an average of six flaws per hour. Cracks, knots, and resin patches are recorded by a scanner and passed to the spot-repair portals.

"This is our first order for Roseburg and our first ever wood processing order in the USA. We have thereby succeeded in gaining a foothold in the highly interesting North American market for plywood," explains a delighted Erwin Altendorfer, head of the Wood Competence Center at Fill.
