These consist of Chester Wood Products, a producer of softwood plywood panels and veneer, based in Chester, South Carolina and Moncure Plywood, a flexible specialty plywood mill that produces both hardwood and softwood panels, based in Moncure, California.
"The acquisition of these two well-run facilities will strengthen our footprint in the southeastern United States," said Tom Carlile, ceo of Boise Cascade.
Aside from its numerous US facilities, Boise Cascade owns AllJoist Ltd, a manufacturer of engineered wood products in St Jacques, New Brunswick.
Wood Resources LLC, based in Shelton, Washington, initially acquired Chester Wood Products and Moncure Plywood from the Weyerhaeuser Corporation back in 2004.
