Discussions with the Pará state panel maker were underway early this year, Dieffenbacher confirmed, although the supplier was unwilling to reveal progress before the conclusion of a deal.
Floraplac’s MDF subsidiary said it was considering investing in a second panel line, either MDF or for MDP at the beginning of 2011 with a view to launching production by the end of 2013. Subsequent management comments indicated it was likely to opt for a thin MDF line, probably continuous output.
