The foundations and assembly work on the new machine – which bears the in-house codename PMD 42 – began last November.

The variable-width press can be retrofitted with further print and lacquer top-coating units and is said to be the technically most advanced printing line both within the Schattdecor group and the decor printing branch.

In the past year Schattdecor produced over 91,000 tons of decor paper on a total of 32 printing presses.
