Latvian plywood producer JSC Latvijas Finieris has suffered a fire at its Riga factory.
The fire at the Lignums mill broke out after thermo-oil ignited at the mill pumping station.
The mill’s heat supply and other infrastructure have now been restored and full production and normal operation are back on line.
“Latvian Plywood has several factories so there will be no significant impact on production volumes,said Uldis Bikis, JSC Latvian Plywood board chairman.
