South Korea plans to impose anti-dumping duties on Malaysian plywood of up to 38% for three years, reports Bernama.
During a 10-month investigation in response to a complaint by the Korea Wood Panel Association, the Korea Trade Commission (KTC) found local plywood makers had been damaged by Malaysian imports being sold at unfairly low prices.
The KTC is recommending anti-dumping duties of 5.12%-38.1% on Malaysian veneer for three years. Preliminary anti-dumping duties on Malaysian plywood were imposed in July pending a formal decision.
