Pfleiderer AG has appointed Hans-Joachim Ziems as a new member of the company’s executive board with responsibility for restructuring with immediate effect.  Mr Ziems succeeds Ernst Pelzer.

Mr Ziems is a managing partner of Ziems & Partner Business Consultants in Cologne, which specialises in restructuring.

Hanno C. Fiedler, chairman of Pfleiderer’s supervisory board, said: “We are convinced that he will make a major contribution to the continuation of Pfleiderer’s restructuring and will help to bring it to a successful conclusion.”

Crisis turnaround specialist Alfred Hagebusch has been appointed as a new member of Pfleiderer’s supervisory board by the Nuremberg District Court, succeeding Dr Helmut Burmester, who stepped down from his position in February.

Mr Hagebusch has more than 30 years of experience in corporate business consulting, in particular in the field of turnarounds and restructuring, Pfleiderer said.
