Global consulting and engineering company Pöyry plc has expanded its presence in the North American forest industry by acquiring Perforex Inc, Canada.
Pöyry said the move strengthened its position as the leading forest industry management consultant in the world, employing more than 300 experts globally.
Perforex’s main operational bases are in Toronto, Atlanta and Portland. It focuses on sustainable operations, improvement and excellence in wood products and forest operations across North America.
Pöyry’s net sales last year totalled e620m, with 7,000 people employed.
