The meeting once again strengthened the long-standing collaboration that exists between Sonae Arauco and the Siempelkamp-Group. The Siempelkamp service departments appeared as the newly created business unit “Siempelkamp Service Excellence”.

The symposium represents a platform where Siempelkamp Service and Sonae Arauco are able to exchange ideas. Topics ranging from standard conversion packages to future-oriented developments were addressed and discussed.

Around 60 employees from Sonae Arauco attended the symposium. Together with the Siempelkamp team, they actively participated in dynamic discussions and shared their insights with each other. Siempelkamp Service Excellence was represented by service experts of Siempelkamp Logistics & Service GmbH (SLS) and representatives of Büttner and Pallmann to present a multi-faceted range of expertise. Experts from CMC and Electronic Wood Systems also enriched the group of participants.

All sides benefited from very different perspectives and specialist knowledge – aspects that were then explored in greater depth in joint working groups.

The results achieved at the event produced an immediate desire for more meetings to be held in future for the purposes of utilising the common potential over the long term and to further explore content.

“We see this response and encouragement from our customer as a positive sign that we’ll be continuing the long-term co-operation and partnership successfully in the future,” said Dr Stephan Niggeschmidt, managing director at SLS.

Interesting prospective projects had already been discussed in Porto, indicating the potential for joint growth and innovation in the field of wood processing technologies.
