The leading timber sub-sector, in terms of export, was wooden furniture which reached RM5.99bn (US$1.93bn). Plywood exports were the second highest at RM4.7bn (US$1.52bn).
Other major export sub-sectors were sawnwood RM2.25bn (US$726m), logs RM1.55bn (US$500 m), MDF RM1.06bn (US$342m) and joinery products RM900m (US$290m).
