Dexco Brazil, a leading supplier of wood based panels, has ordered the world’s biggest EVOfuge steam recovery system for what is billed as the world’s biggest MDF plant in Agudos.
The Sunds Fibertech 80t/h EVOfuge system is designed for a fibre throughput of 80 t/h and to save more than 10 t/h of steam.
The savings, says Sunds, will include approximately 40,000 tons/year lower biomass need in the plants energy centre. In addition to the economical benefits, this will also reduce the plant’s CO2 Emissions by approximately 25,000 tons per year. At the same time, the energy demand of the flash tube dryer is reduced significantly, allowing the customer to increase the plant’s overall throughput.
“We are thrilled to continue boosting plants in South America while contributing to a significant reduction of the plants CO2 footprint,” said Marcos Zamora, Area Sales Director, Sunds Fibertech.
“We would like to thank Dexco for their trust, which enabling us to deliver the first Mega EVOfuge steam separation system.”
