International technology group Andritz has delivered a pressurized refining system to Metro Decorative Pvt Ltd in India.
The new line at the MDF production facility in Kashipur has now successfully produced its first fibres.
“We wanted to work together with a company that has deep expertise in the panelboard industry, and our collaboration with ANDRITZ has proven successful,” said Aman Garg, director of Metro Decorative Pvt Ltd.
The pressurized refining system is equipped with a proven S1050 refiner with 3,300 kW installed.
Andritz says the system can produce 20 bdmt/h of high-quality fibres from wood chips. An efficient pre-steaming system contributes to high fibre quality and low electrical and thermal energy consumption.
The scope of supply also included a 16” plug screw feeder for optimized dewatering before refining, a maintenance-friendly 42” discharger, and an innovative pressurized digester with counter flow and steam regulation system.
Metro Decorative Pvt Ltd specializes in the production of aluminium composite panels, plywood, particleboard, MDF, MDHMR boards, and laminates.
The group manufactures its products at facilities located in Uttarakhand (Kashipur), Gujarat, and Haryana, India.
