Nile Wood, founded by Egypt Kuwait Holding (EKH), has ordered from Dieffenbacher a wood chip-cleaning line to complement the MDF plant it ordered in September for its greenfield site in Sadat City, Egypt.
“Dieffenbacher’s competence in complete plants, together with its expertise and experience in wood-cleaning technology, convinced us they were the right choice for this additional equipment,” said EKH CEO Sherif El Zayat.
“The start-up of Nile Wood’s MDF plant, including the wood-chip cleaning line, is planned for the first quarter of 2022. Under full load, the MDF line will reach an annual production capacity of 200,000 m³.
“With our wood-chip cleaning line, Nile Wood will be able to eliminate plastics, glass, stones, metals and other impurities from their raw material, enabling them to produce high-quality MDF,” said Jochen Kamm, head of the recycling business unit at Dieffenbacher.
The Nile Wood order is a sign of the growing collaboration between Dieffenbacher’s Wood and Recycling business units.
While the order is DIEFFENBACHER’s first wood cleaning line supplied for MDF production, its business units have collaborated on numerous wood recycling plants for particleboard production.
The Recycling business unit has also developed plant concepts with Dieffenbacher’s Composites business unit.
Recently, a US customer ordered a plant to efficiently and economically produce thermoplastic components from 100% recycled material.
