London-based Accsys Technologies plc, which has a production plant in The Netherlands, said sales to Accoya customers (excluding panel maker Medite) increased by 53% to €6.1m compared to a year ago.

Sales to Medite, which manufactures Medite Tricoya modified MDF, accounted for €600,000 of additional revenue.

Accsys said sales growth was driven by a boost in demand and its own sales and marketing activities, including targeting architectural audiences across several countries.

"We expect revenue growth to continue due to a combination of increasing sales volumes and recent price increases implemented in all locations," it said.

It continues to expect the Arnhem manufacturing plant to move into profit this year.

Accsys and its joint venture Tricoya Technologies Ltd are developing new and existing licence opportunities. They said they are talking to parties whose combined total wood product manufacturing capacity is in excess of 10 million m3 per year.

"While these discussions remain ongoing, the complex nature and investment required by a licensee, mean that the timing and certainty of their completion remain difficult to predict," Accsys said.
