Egger is gearing up to build a new OSB production facility alongside its particleboard factory in Radauti, Romania and is waiting to receive construction authorisation.

The OSB line will have a 300,000m³ capacity and will target its output at the markets of central, eastern and southern Europe.

Currently, the Radauti site produces 600,000m³ of particleboard annually and employs 400 people. The new factory will create 100 extra jobs.

At the moment, Egger has one OSB production facility at Wismar, Germany.

“This investment strengthens Egger and its expertise in the supply of structural wood-based materials, as well as creating conditions to further extend our market presence in eastern Europe, said Ulrich Buhler, Egger group sales and marketing spokesperson.
