Recent factory improvements at its European OSB plants in Germany and Romania – which have raised Egger’s overall OSB production capacity to nearly 1 million m3 – have helped to ensure long-term supply to the UK market.
The developments follow strong growth in Egger Group’s building products division (OSB and lumber), which recently reported a 30% sales rise for the period May to October 2013.
"We are looking to support the UK timber frame market, which is an area we have not focused much on previously," said Katie Burton, Egger (UK) Ltd’s building products marketing co-ordinator. "It’s a new area."
