OCI Melamine, part of OCI Nitrogen one of the European market leaders in fertilisers and melamine, is to re-start its 30,000 tonnes/year Short Liquid Phase (SLP) melamine plant in Geleen, The Netherlands.
Commercial quantities of SLP melamine are expected in Q4/2011 and contract volumes will be available from Q1/2012.
Improved markets in Europe and the Americas has allowed OCI Melamine to re-start the SLP melamine plant and the European market will be especially catered for.
In 2008, the SLP melamine plant was shut down due to strongly reduced global demand.
