Panolam Industries’ Pionite division in Auburn, Maine, has received FSC certification for its decorative surfaces products.
“We recognise that, as our product assortment expands, we could potentially have a greater impact on the environment,said Panolam ceo Robert Muller.
Pionite HPL products also meet low-emission standards certified by Greenguard, and because Pionite formulates its own resins, the company says it can ensure its manufacturing processes are environmentally friendly. The manufacturer also uses recycled or renewable resources.
Nevamar Decorative Surfaces, another division of Panolam Industries, based in Shelton, Connecticut, also now offers products with full FSC certification at no extra cost.
