The prospect of nine North American OSB makers going on trial in an anti-trust lawsuit seems to be receding after details emerged of settlements being reached with most of the companies, reports Random Lengths.
The nine companies have denied that they engaged in price-fixing and colluded in taking downtime.
Settlements have already been reached with six defendants: JM Huber, Georgia-Pacific, Ainsworth, Tolko, Potlach and Norbord.
Random Lengths also says that court documents indicate settlements being reached with Grant Forest Products and Weyerhaeuser, with speculation that the remaining defendant, Louisiana-Pacific, will also reach a settlement soon.
