The 13th European Wood-based Panel Symposium is set to take place on October 9-11 in Hamburg, Germany.
The event is notable for attracting a big attendance from the wood-based panels industry globally, as well as suppliers to the sector from the machinery and chemicals fields.
In 2022, the Symposium attracted 328 delegates from 28 countries, with the aim of fostering dialogues, joint efforts, innovation and growth within the sector through a range of educational sessions, market updates, networking opportunities, technical presentations and exhibitions.
The conference programme will focus on six main themes: markets, resources, AI, recycling, resins and developments.
Opening the event will be Prof Bohumil Kasal of the Fraunhofer Institute of Wood Research WKI and European Panel Federation (EPF) technical director Kris Wijnendaele.
EPF managing board member Philipp Sprockhoff will deliver a keynote presentation giving an overview of the current situation in the WBP sector.
A total of 17 technical presentations are scheduled.
